When e-filing a Writ with the court, the Court specifically prescribes the list of documents available in the Document Type field. Some courts may NOT list the specific Writ needed or even a Writ document type at all. However, the court STILL requires the filer select one of the available options in the Document Type field.

If a user doesn’t see the specific document type needed, then they will want to select the one that most closely matches, or is somewhat generic in nature. Additionally, some filers might see a document type of Application which an be an options to consider as well.

Note: users will also want to fill out the Document Description field. This allows the court to effectively process the filing.
