As of December 2018, the Los Angeles Superior Court currently has a backlog in processing new eFilings. This has resulted in a waitlist of pending filings.

While our system remains fully functional and is operating at normal speeds, the return of your documents from the court may be slowed due to their delay.

Just as lawyers, paralegals, and self-represented litigants are adjusting to the new electronic filing process in Los Angeles, so are court employees and clerks. This adjustment results in a slowdown of processing eFiling paperwork on the court’s end. The courts understand that filings are often time-sensitive. However, the courts have asked for understanding and patience.

Since the delay lies with the court and their system, we are unable to provide insight to when your paperwork will be processed. We will keep you updated as we receive more information from the courts and their technology provider.
